ADHD

What is ADHD?

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. It affects people of all ages and can have a significant impact on daily life, including academic performance, social relationships, and stress management.

For whom?

The treatments are intended for children newly diagnosed with ADHD, as well as adolescents experiencing a more complicated period with the intensification of schooling and social pressure.
Reflexology can also support adults in finding calm or alleviating sleep problems and anxiety often present with ADHD.

The recommended number of sessions will depend on your health condition. Generally, between 4 to 6 sessions are necessary to establish lasting improvement.

For children, this number may vary.

Individuals suffering from phlebitis, who have had a recent heart condition, or a recent ankle fracture/sprain cannot receive reflexology treatment.

Pregnant women, the elderly, or individuals with diabetes can receive treatment where pressure, duration, and intensity will be adapted. We can discuss this by phone before the session if needed.

With certain precautions, reflexology is perfectly suitable for pregnant women after the 1st trimester. This practice can help restore sleep, relieve constipation, or simply provide a moment of deep relaxation. A complete article on reflexology during pregnancy can be found on my blog.

Under the term learning disorders, we group, among others, hyperactivity, concentration or memory disorders, dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, dysorality (or eating disorders), as well as vision and hearing problems.

Following an assessment with parents and the child, we establish a protocol adapted to the child’s specific needs. Thanks to facial neuro-reflexology, which combines a set of techniques, we will act at the level of the nervous system. This is a very gentle technique for stimulating reflex zones on the head, face, hands, and feet. To learn more about the methodology used, please visit this page.

Sessions are in no way a substitute for medical treatment.
